The Shane Rogers Band is an alt-country band based out of Lubbock, Texas and was established in 2000. Three months after it’s formation they were opening for bands such as Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Pat Green, Willie Nelson and many others. The release of their first album “Texas Kind of Mood” in 2003 gathered a grass roots, cult following all over the region which was necessary because they did not release a single to radio. That did not stop the fans from getting copies to their favorite radio stations and demanding that they play it. The single “Cheatin’ Man’s Mind” became a huge song for them. In the summer of 2006 they released their second album “Second Time Around”. The single “Southern Rebel Girl” was released to radio and did very well throughout the region. After 2007 the band stopped touring for personal reasons and has since gone through a new transformation that has infused new life into the band and music. What this band is most known for hasn’t changed. Good, heartfelt, fun country/southern rock music and a fantastic live show. The band has a lot of new music and are in the process of negotiating the funding for their third CD.
